Belly Bands are a male housetraining aid with a very simple premise. Most males will mark when they can see the results of their efforts. Also, most dogs do not like to have their own urine next to their body, which will happen when they wear a band. They find this uncomfortable and will generally not urinate while wearing the Belly Band. While you need to keep the dog in the wet Belly Band long enough to be uncomfortable, you do not want to leave it on so long as to cause a possible rash. It is the discomfort of the moistness that will train your boy to stop marking or lifting their leg inside your home.
